The Town of Selma will host the annual Selma Christmas Celebration & Parade on Tuesday, December 3rd.  Tree Lighting and Entertainment will begin at 6PM in front of the Finance building at 114 N Raiford Street.  The Parade will begin at 7PM and will travel down Richardson Street from Selma Elementary turning onto N Raiford and then down to E Anderson Street.  Join us for a night of holiday fun in Downtown Selma!

WRAL PRESENTS THE 49TH ANNUAL SELMA RAILROAD DAYS FESTIVAL OCTOBER 4TH-6TH

Selma, North Carolina — The Town of Selma will welcome festivalgoers of all ages October 4th-6th to celebrate Selma’s rail history with a weekend full of exciting entertainment and activities. Downtown streets will be filled with live music from two stages, a buffet of food trucks, model train shows, an annual parade, unique vendors, and carnival rides.

Selma, North Carolina — Selma Cyclepath team members started riding together in the 1990s to raise awareness and funding for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Over the life of the team, they have raised more than $2 million for MS research.

The Cyclepaths sponsor weekly training rides from Selma’s Thanksgiving Elementary School leading up to a major two-day fundraising event in New Bern each September.  With the support of the Town of Selma, the Cyclepath’s invite you to come ride with the team on Saturday, October 5th as an event of the 49^th Annual Selma Railroad Days Festival.

Where: the ride will start and finish at Selma Baptist Church 1500 N. Webb Street. Parking will be available there.

When: Please arrive at 7:30 AM. There will be a rider safety briefing at 7:45 AM and the ride will begin at 8:00 AM.

Ride Distance: There will be three options (10, 26 & 47 miles).

Route cue sheets (paper and electronic) will be provided, as well as SAG support and a rest stop with water and snacks. The 10-mile ride will be ideal for families.
