Boil Water Advisory Issued for Selma Area Customers
Selma, NC – The Town of Selma has been advised by Johnston County Utilities to issue a Boil Water Advisory due to a county water main break that has now been repaired.
Effective immediately, customers in the following areas are under a 24-hour Boil Water Advisory:
- Campground Road
- Sharon Drive
- Kristina Drive
- Futrell Road
- A.J. Lane
- Serenity Point
- E. Anderson Street
- Selma Pine Level Road
- Pine Level Selma Road
- Trails End Road
- W.T. Lane
What This Means:
- Customers in the listed areas are advised to boil all water intended for human consumption (drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, making ice, etc.) for at least one (1) full minute before use.
- As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
- This advisory will remain in effect for 24 hours, or until water quality testing confirms that the water is safe for consumption.
The water main has been successfully repaired, but as a precaution, the Boil Water Advisory will remain in effect for 24 hours while testing is completed.
